The Kichton Advantage

We believe that maintaining a fleet of up-to-date and well-maintained equipment is the key to our success. KCLP is proud to maintain over 80% equipment availability across our fleet. We credit this to our exceptional maintenance team, state-of-the-art service shop and mobile service units in the field. We go one step further when it comes to fleet management, we empower our Teams through Technology deploying a bespoke software suite designed to provide in-depth preventive maintenance planning that is entirely digitized. KCLP is continually growing and adding to our existing fleet that consists of over 300 pieces of equipment ranging from 100/150 ton Rigid Frame Haul Trucks, 150 Ton Excavators, 16M Graders, D10 Dozers and everything in-between.

Jared Hamm

Chief Operating Officer

Jared originally joined the Kichton Group in 2016 and returned in 2022 to help grow Kichton Construction and the Industrial arm of the business. Jared’s diverse experience in the civil sector has equipped him with the skills and knowledge to thrive in his role as Chief Operating Officer. Having spent 20 years in the industry, occupying positions as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Foreman, Superintendent, Estimator, Project Manager and Construction Manager leading to his ascension into the Chief Operating Officer role. Prior to Joining Kichton, Jared worked with Thompson Construction Group.

When he’s not hard at work, Jared enjoys spending time with his wife and three children at their cabin on Lac St Anne (Delete) enjoying time on his boat, fishing and taking the kids out surfing. An avid outdoorsman, Jared loves hunting, snowboarding and can often be spotted on the golf course where he digs deeper trenches with his 4-iron than our 6015 excavators.

Josh Bent

V.P of Operations

Josh has been with Kichton Construction since inception and has helped build industry relationships and solidify our footprint in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. Josh has extensive experience in the Oilsands, having spent more than 30 years occupying various roles in all aspects of light-Heavy Civil projects. Starting his career as an operator, Josh quickly rose through the ranks into Managerial positions on account of his strong work ethic, commitment to client satisfaction, and leadership/mentorship style helping others reach their full potential. In his current role, Josh oversees all Kichton operations, active crews and projects in the Fort McMurray region. Prior to joining Kichton, Josh worked with Thompson Construction Group and North American Construction Group.

On the odd occasion when Josh is not hard at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children and loves to camp, fish, hunt and getting out on the open road with his motorcycle. Like Jared, Josh also loves to golf but the game doesn’t love him. You’ll often find him on the links with Jared taking in a free lesson or two.
